My hands down favorite dessert to make and eat at home are black bean brownies. I used the base recipe for black bean brownies and added a fun twist with the easy Thanksgiving Turkey themed brownies.

Easy Turkey Brownies Simple Ingredients:

2 eggs
¾ cup of dark chocolate chips
1 can of black beans, 15 ounces, rinsed
¼ cup of honey
¼ cup of sugar
¼ cup of coconut oil
¼ cup of cocoa powder
½ tsp of baking powder
Sprinkling of course salt
1 tsp of vanilla extract
Candy corn (for the feathers)
Candy eyes (available at most craft stores or online)
Chocolate frosting or melted chocolate (for attaching decorations)
Mini–Peppermint Patties
cheerios
Non-stick cooking spray
Baking Pan
If you want to make this recipe a lot easier and faster, you can use Betty Crocker boxed brownie mix or your favorite brownie mix for the brownie batter instead of homemade brownies.

Easy Thanksgiving Turkey Brownie Directions:

If you are making your own brownie mix using a box of brownie mix:
Bake the Brownies:
- Prepare the brownie box mix according to the package instructions on the package.
- Pour the pre-made brownies batter into a greased baking pan.
- Bake the brownies according to the recommended time and temperature.
- Let the brownies cool on a cooling rack completely before moving on to the decorating step.

If you are making your own brownie mix

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. I used a 8 x 8 baking pan and used olive oil cooking spray to grease.
Mix black beans, coconut oil, sugar, and honey together (I used my Cuisinart Food Processor). Blend until the beans are smooth, 2 minutes or so.
Add the cocoa powder, salt, baking powder, and vanilla extract. Again, blend until smooth.
Add eggs and blend.
Add half of your chocolate chips and mix by hand.

Add the cocoa powder, salt, baking powder, and vanilla extract.
Pour mixture into the baking pan and then sprinkle the remaining chips on top.
Bake the brownies at 350 degrees.

Cut Brownie Squares:
- Once the brownies have cooled, cut them into square or rectangular shapes, depending on your preference and the number of turkey brownies you want to make.

Attach the Turkey Bodies:

Unwrap the mini peppermint patty.
Use a small amount of melted chocolate or chocolate frosting as "glue" to attach one peanut butter cup to the center of each brownie square. This will be the turkey's body.

Use a toothpick to dip cheerio into melted chocolate and then attach to the brownie turkey face.

Add 3 candy corn feathers as turkey feathers in a fan-like shape and a nose piece of candy corn

Add two candy eyes

Add one mini peppermint patty
